If you are, like me, a Bear of Very Little Brain, it can sometimes get a little confusing keeping track of who's who on your flist. This happens mainly with the people I've met online exclusively but never in person. Usernames start to flow together, you remember reading posts or profiles but it's just words on a page and not experience. You see ( Read more... )

well, I did indeed go to London, in 2002, and parts of it were awesome but parts of it were food poisoning from the cafe at the Victoria and Albert and parts of it were losing my debit/credit card and having someone in Scotland put thousands of dollars on it and parts of it were my now-ex telling me transatlantically over the phone that he was definitely for sure going to go from being my husband to being my ex and by the way putting a sick cat to sleep, so I need to go again sometime and give it another shot...

but that particular photo is taken sur un pont in tres freezing Paris on the way to have a cafe viennoise and a doble of chestnut ice cream at Berthillon.

and look! yet another one. and strangely I am not a girl who likes to have her picture taken. :-)

Oh. Le duh. I went to Paris too and only made it out to be THE MOST IMPORTANT TRIP OF MY LIFE and so should have recognized it. That's one of those "Iles" in the background, not to mention Notre Dame, yes? (Or not. I got the city wrong, I could easily get the landmarks wrong.)

(I originally typed "Notre Damn". Hee hee.)

And re London: YIKES!! You should go there again and create a trip with better memories. Or else you should avoid the place like the plague, I'm not sure which.
