They've been through this sort of thing before with Joe. It's necessary to go through this every few months because parents just can't be to careful and when it comes to Joe's health they really can't be to careful. It's the six months mark and they've gotten into this habit. Every two months it's a blood test and every six it's a bone marrow biopsy to check if the leukemia is still in remission. So far they'd been completely fine since the last remission.
The last couple of times they've come in for the biopsy Joe had asked them to stay outside the operation room. He'd say 'I grew up with it and I don't like the looks you guys have when you have to watch me go through it'. So they stayed outside in the waiting room. Tony had his arm around Stephanie and they were both quiet for now.
