"Ouch! Easy." He has some cuts and bruises from the battle. Tony comes back into the kiss though, because no matter the cuts and bumps Pepper is always worth coming home to.

"Oh, I'm sorry..." She eases up. After seeing that he's okay with it, she continues. This is different.

He hums and reaches back to take out of hair tie.

[she shakes her hair out, self conscious about what it looks like...but no matter]

"Don't." He smiles a little, running his fingers through her hair. "You're beautiful, Pepper."

[pepperpotts_pa]

"Yeah? It looks like a rats nest," she chuckles.

[aheartofsteel]

"No. Seriously, Pepper..." He brushes a few strands out of her face. "You're...stunning and you don't need to worry about it."

[pepperpotts_pa]

She does get the courage to look up and smile. "I am, am I?"

"Yes." He nods. "That was...a weird way to phrase that question, but yes. You are."

[pepperpotts_pa]

Pepper takes a deep breath, to calm herself down. This isn't like her at all. "I guess it was, huh?" She swallows, then begins to ramble.

"I mean, to talk about myself like that...might have thought I was you for a second," she looks into his eyes, trying to smile.

Why is she so nervous? It's just Tony. That's just it: It's Tony.

He keeps a calm hand going through her hair, and his other hand rubs up and down her arm.

"It could do you some good." He says. "Build up your self and all that."

He smiles back at her. It's just that so many things have changed between them now and you don't just fly into a portal and have the last call be to your PA unless there is something more there. Honestly that kind of scares him more than the portal.

Sorry she feels insecure. It's the way I read her.

"Build myself up as far as self esteem goes...yeah. I've been told that a few times. I'm sorry, I'm ruining this, aren't I?"

No. It's totally cool. She's yours. =)

"No. It's fine, Pepper." Tony leans in to give her a quick kiss. He realizes something then, that he just wants to make Pepper happy at this point. "You're beautiful, Pepper. I won't lie to you about that."

[blushes] Thanks.

"Thank you." She's slowly getting used to the compliments.

He grins. "Now...where were we?" He leans in for another kiss.

She leans in as well, taking her time, just feeling, not thinking. The kiss gets a bit more heated this time, her arms around his neck, then back, then to his ass.

Slowly, once Tony feels she's easy and ready, he lays her down on the couch, pressing his knees between her legs.
