2013 Books Read

I was keeping a list of books I've read this year, and I lost it. So I've started a new list, and I decided I'd probably better keep a version of it on LJ for future reference. I haven't gotten as much reading time as I would hope, and a lot of reading I've been doing has been magazines instead of books. I do think I had one or two more on the list ( Read more... )

I've only read one book this year so far but that's a lot more than I normally do! I flip through magazines in my spare time. Otherwise I am reading for college or doing homework. I like Better Homes & Gardens and other magazines like that. I read this book though, and I liked it:

And I want to buy this next:

I follow the buddhist boot camp guy on facebook and I recommend following him. He's pretty awesome.

That's one of my big problems (well, problem to me, lately) is that I read more magazines than I do books anymore. I used to just devour books. I'm consciously trying to make more time to read them again. Right in time for reading deprivation! lol

I'll have to look for the Buddhist boot camp guy. I'm intrigued by the interesting dichotomy of Buddhism and boot camp. I was on a huge Buddhist kick there for a while. I felt really drawn/connected to HH the Dalai Lama's books especially.

Yea I see myself becoming a Buddhist more than anything. :) I wish I had more time to read novels but even when I have the time I never make it a priority.
