Ivy, Reiki Master

Laurel was born with the ability. She watched my mom demonstrate 'touch therapy' after a lecture on it for work and immediately came over and just... healed. She was 3. I swear her working on my back and neck is why I'm not disabled.

That's so awesome! I've definitely decided to recruit the girls more to help with this back problem I'm having. I think most kids are natural healers if in an environment that nurtures it.

I think you're right :) Anna can do a good bit, too, but needs guidance. Laurel has always been able to 'feel' where I hurt with 'hot spots' and just draw out the heat and energy blockages, reduce inflammation and make me mobile again. She's killer with migraines, too!

Man, I'm not sure I'd get any enthusiasm for it here like I might have in Asheville, but I've always wanted to organize kids' classes and reiki shares. I think it would be so powerful!

Anna's a projecting empath and she seems able to project her aura in the same way and kind of .... insert and tweak ... my energies and aura with it. I'd love to help her figure that out more for healing (she tends to do it in a destructive way when upset) it would be really powerful.

Laurel seems to just kind of melt into my energies and let her own smooth and re-set mine (which is also how I do healing work) ... more attuning than tweaking, so to speak.

Kids are amazing! I can't wait to see what 'flavor' JT comes out with!

Yikes. You should definitely consider finding or starting some kind of healing circle! I think a natural healer, but especially a child, who heals/projects with their own energy should be taught how to avoid draining themselves or inadvertently acting like an 'energy vampire' (I hate that term). I worry that I do that with Ivy sometimes. She's so calming to me, I'll want to cuddle while I'm all angry and upset, and I worry that she soaks that up sometimes. :/

I do think maybe reiki classes could help Anna, at least to be able to do healing while replenishing her own energies.

I wish I knew some good books on energy work for kids. I have looked for a lot but not found anything that I thought made sense. Maybe that's a market I need to fill! lol
