I planned on updating this journal more than I have. Obviously I strung together a few posts in rapid succession back in September. I guess I figured I would have more free time and why the hell not? It seems that way when all of the possibilities of summer dissolve before your eyes and before you know it you're unpacking your things in a barren new dorm room.
Jared made the decision over break to transfer to a community college in New Jersey. His grades weren't cutting it, he said. Obviously I would have preferred a single, or to be moved into a room here with someone I know, but they assigned me a new roommate. He lived in Reynolds last year, so at least we know each other a little.
There was a blizzard on Sunday. We got about 15, maybe 16 inches here in Beverly and they cancelled classes on Monday. However, yesterday and today have been very warm (for February in New England), peaking in the low to mid 50s. The snow is melting off the roof of my dorm and pouring off the edge in sheets outside my window.
My classes are good, I have: The Beat Generation, U.S. History I, American Political Thought, Ideas Culture and Social Thought, and Police Process. I transferred into the latter two after realizing my math abilities suck, and having one professor recommend that I switch.
Ninety days until summer.
