The Man Who Expected Too Much...

Jul 17, 2007 17:35

A quote from Einstein (roughly :p) :

people say I am a pessimist, I do not believe it is true : I always expect the worst, so when something better happens, I can be nothing but happy.

I really expect too much of people, (this journal always seems depressing, huh?)
I think I gotta stop that, expect nothing, and just be happy when more than that happens
oi...but what's a person with no expectations? desperate?
one thing I promised myself long ago I'd never be

short story for the day (a bit weird/psychotic... :o/)

the boy who's heart was stolen so much
he killed his own soul
so nobody could ever take it from him again

an odd old note : I could live in russia, if for nothing else but the sky...
oh!! and I finished my first book in ages!!! (almost like the old days :o)
the man who was thursday - excellent book, although I need to read it again, I don't think I quite got the ending, and I love the psychological games it plays and the way it shows the characters points of view and highlights the different ways to see things, and if for nothing else the language. Although it seems to loose it's steam at the end...

summer projects :

Improve spanish, french, russian
learn better cooking, salsa dancing
surf and sail well (though the former shall be harder than the latter :/ )
start reading a book a week
be a bit more fashionable, though not a narc
take more photos, and be more myself, more original, or at least myself :p

2 weeks left in russia
quite depressing friends...
any suggestions on what to do?
okok, shutting up for today
adios - with all my unoriginality
