a note / permissions
Simon is canonically a huge geek. The extent to which is only covered on his twitter, his facebook, and his youtube profile. However, what I've discerned is that he's a science fiction movie/television show fan, gamer, and reader of comic books. I'd also guess that he has at least a passing knowledge of Japanese media, but he seems more the type to go to the Los Angeles Comic Con instead of Anime Expo, from what I've discerned (or DragonCon instead of AWA-you get the picture).
He's a fan of Star Trek, Doctor Who, DC comics, and much more, and I don't have the same range he does. Fortunately, Simon is someone who respects the fact that someone probably wouldn't want someone to hear they're fictional. (And if anything, he'll just question if he's fictional as well.)
BUT THIS BECOMES TWO PARTS AS A RESULT:
· If you are a player of a character from a science fiction show, is it all right for Simon to know who your character is? I think the biggest priority here is knowing who isn't okay, so I don't mess up.
· And two, Simon has the ability to go invisible. It's likely that once he sees Jack or The Doctor or Rose walking around, he'll want to be a stalker! Invisibly. I'm not sure how this will come up and I will definitely ask your permission before he starts and make sure they meet first and so forth, but if you play a science fiction character, this might come up.
... I suspect this will come up in other situations, too, but I think they're more "PM the player" things rather than "permissions post" things.
