That was worthless. I got up earlier than I have all summer for something I could barely help with. I wonder what they really hoped to get out of it. Did they really think a bunch of kids would be able to help them solve their case?
I never thought I'd say this, but I'm eager for school to start.
I need to do something with my days.

Now? Tomorrow? However long it takes to get here from now.

Well, the Post Office has a good Floo Network...
I could be there.. wait-- are you connected?

Of course I am!
It's complicated to get from there to here but you follow the directions that Christina can't remember she created

Sounds brilliant, love. I'll see you soon.

After leaving Andy a short note, packing himself a bag of things he wasn't sure he needed and brushing his teeth, Avery was set. He made his way to the Post Office and then, he was scheduled to leave via Floo for New York City at the precise directions Gwenn had given him.
He wasn't sure how much later it was before he was stepping out of the Floo and looking for Gwenn.

Not that she was very convincing as a guard dog since she seemed more intent on getting petted than anything else.

He dropped his bag at his side, careful not to hit the puppy, before crouching down to scratch the dog behind its ears.
"Hey there," Avery said, grinning slightly.

She hadn't realized why Keely was having a fit, but when she did, a grin showed up instantly.
"You made it!" Really, she barely held herself back from tackling him in a hug.

"Missed you," he said, grinning.

Gwenn buried her face against his neck just breathing for a moment. He always smelled so good, it was like home..only not...it was confusing, but she liked it.
"I missed you, too. SO so so much." She pracitcally whispered the words. It was a big contrast to all the enthusiasm she was showing.

"I don't know how I'm going to manage once the school year starts back up," he said, though he didn't want to really put a damper on the mood.

She frowned, nearly pouted when he said that. She didn't want to think about what happened when he was back at Hogwarts and she was in New York. "I'll come see you on weekends."

"I hope you do," he said, smiling. "It'll be hell with Andy and Bletchley with me at the castle."

Why couldn't she have wanted to do something so she could go back with them? She frowned even more fully for a minute before she stretched up to kiss his shoudler just to distract herself.

The thought had yet to occur to him. Merlin, he'd have to spend as much time out of the castle as possible then. He frowned before shaking his head.
"Well that's going to suck."
