Attached are a few songs that I’d like you to listen to before we decide what we’ll be singing. I listened to Singing in the Rain again, and I think maybe we should try something more contemporary, don’t you? But it’s rather difficult to find proper modern duets these days without having one sing and the other rap; whoever Artie ends up with will probably do that, however, and I think it’s best to stick to our strengths. Mercedes tells me she heard you play the guitar, so perhaps we could do something acoustic? She also said you could fit ten golf balls in your mouth, though, so forgive me if I’ve heard wrong. She may have mixed you up with Puck, since there are so many people from the football team that are in Glee Club now, and it’s hard to keep up, right? Not saying that you’re anything like Puck-he’s the Neanderthal who got thrown into prison, by the way-I mean, in case you hadn’t been informed-but it’s easy to mix you up with the rest of them, is what I meant. But not really. You’re obviously less unintelligent than most of them.
So, what do you think?

Rachel,
I forgot to tell you before we left, but I think it’s best we cut out that part of the song we discussed. Mr. Schue is probably planning to go ahead with the new theme for this week, so I don’t think he would appreciate us taking too long. I’ve thought of a smooth transition for the instrumental so it won’t sound too jarring. Also, could it be possible for us to experiment with switching our roles a bit more before school starts? I’ll wait by the main entrance with Mercedes in the morning, but I can’t promise I’ll stay long.
