Madara Uchiha Tutorial

Today's tutorial will deal with icons with empty space. Ever saw an image and thought it would look great as an icon but it had alot of empty space? Well this tutorial will show you the easiest method, in my opinion, to filling up/getting rid of empty space. The image I chose for this tutorial is this one **here**

Step 001

Crop your image however you like. I cropped the icon with Madara in the middle and moved the image down and what I had left was empty space on the top.

Step 002
This step is only for icons with empty space, if your icon does not have empty space, please proceed to Step 3
Select the Smudge Tool and smudge the top of the image until the empty space is filled. Best way to do this is to make a straight line from the background and keep repeating this step until the space is completely filled

Then take your Blur Tool and blur out the space you just smudged to blend everything evenly and give it a smooth look. You should have something like my image below.

Step 003
Go to Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Hue/Saturation and raise the Saturation by +23
This will give the icon a little more color to start off with

Step 004
Go to Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Selective Color and enter these numbers
Reds
-100, 50, +100, 0
This brings out the red alot and makes it really bright.

Step 005
Go to Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Curves and enter these numbers
OUTPUT 117
INPUT 92
This will brighten up the icon alot and make the colors stand out more

Step 006
Go to Layer -> New -> Layer or just hit Shft+Ctrl+N and fill it with #3e1c04 and set it to Exclusion at 100%
This will darken the icon a little but will give it that hazy brown look.

Step 007
Go to Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Selective Color and enter these numbers
Reds
-100, 0, 0, 0

Whites
+100, 0, 0, +38
This will bring out the reds more while changing the the gray in the background to a slight shade of light blue and it will take the white parts on his face and give it some light blue aswell.

Step 008
Make another Selective Color layer and enter these numbers
Whites
+36, 0, 0, +15
This will do exactly what Step 008 does minus enhancing the reds. It will slightly enhance the colors like Step 008 did.

Step 009
Next, take this texture **here** that I made and paste it on your icon. Or you could simply go to Dafont.com, download the font and use the Text Tool. The name of the font is called "Impact Label".

& your done! Here are a few more examples using this tutorial. Experiment with it! Tweak it alittle, aslong as you give credit when you can I'm happy =)
