Ubuntu Installfest
So... whoops, I forgot to mention it on here and invite people... but the (very recently officially approved and recognised) Ubuntu Massachusetts LoCo Team held their first installfest today, and I was present as a volunteer, although I was not among those who actually brought a computer.
I had a blast. It was a heck of a lot more fun, and quite a bit less geeky than I was expecting it to be. Real people. Good times. Good pizza :)
I did, however, bring my bowler, as did two other members of the community, and this photo was taken:
(okay, so i added the ubuntu logo on the floor after the fact, in gimp. the name "gimp" just doesn't verb as well as "photoshop" does it?)
