Mix-up at work. I'm starting next week at the new building. But I went there yesterday for orientation. I'm trying to be flexible here, and the two HR departments keep mixing things up. Hope it all works out in the end.
Afterwards, I decided it'd been far too long since I'd visited Davis, so I stopped by Diesel, had some mint mocha chai, played pool, went to True Grounds, and had a Boston Ave.
Just before I had left home, I had remembered my friend's band was playing sometime soon.. turned out to be lastnight, so I ended up at Great Scott lastnight, to watch Ketman.
And The Campaign for Real-Time. Wow. I'd been meaning to check them out for a couple years now. Their name is a Hitchhiker's Guide reference, and from what I understand, they've taken on characters for themselves as if they were members of *that* Campaign, protecting the timeline.
It takes a lot to get me moving at a live show. I'm generally just not that into them. Their music just felt a certain way... it was an experience.
I'm planning on catching them again next Tuesday at Great Scott. Anyone care to join?
