I'll be heading off to the doctor in a few minutes. This will be the fourth time I've had to go in the last 6 weeks. I just can't seem to stay healthy this summer, as evidenced by this latest problem which I belive to be a relapse into the strep throat I just finished antibiotics for on Saturday. Charming, I go my whole childhood and adolescence without strep and now I can't get rid of it.

I've been working overnights in the ICU, and strangely enough, I like it. I don't like the bitchy gossip and backstabbing that goes on between shifts, but I stay out of that anyway, and most of the people are fun to be with in their own rights. I even like the schedule, since nights are quieter and less populated with staff than days so I get to do and see more first-hand with time to think without feeling crowded out. I'm not happy about having to sleep during the day though. It's been weeks since I've slept through the "night." I'm not sure if it's because of noise from neighbors or my airbed constantly deflating (Sniffles was kind enough to put a hole in it with his claws a few weeks back and the patch isn't working 100%).

Also, my jackass landlord continues to be a worry. I mentioned my sleep schedule to him to let him know it'd be inappropriate to bring people to view my apartment after 11 AM and his response was that he had already brought people through and had a prospective tenant. Wow, thanks ass, for continuing to enter my apartment without notice or permission, in violation of our verbal agreement, our lease agreement and the law. I can still decide to sue him if I want, but for now I don't want to add another issue to my life.

I have a meeting with May (future roommate) and my new landlord on Wednesday to discuss the rental agreement I typed up for us. Originally he didn't want to sign anything, but hopefully all will go well with that. He seems like a nice guy, and since it's part of his home that he's renting, I hope to not have the typical landlord problems. Man, I have had 3 shitty landlords. Fingers crossed for the next one. Too bad the meeting is at 6PM, which is 4AM my time. I guess I'll have to take a nap afterwards.

Randy is coming up to visit at the end of the month, mainly to help me clean apartments and move. Hopefully it will be good to see him. He's prepping paperwork to separate from the airforce at the moment. Turns out his injury may make it possible for him to move up here 2 years sooner than we had expected. I wonder if he can afford it though. Rents up here are not cheap, but I'm sure it'll depend on what job he gets and if he gets into the reserves like he wants to.

Okay, time to change for my doctor appointment. It would be odd to show up in scrubs.
