No New Apartment

Last week I got a letter from the leasing office letting me know that my lease is set to expire at the end of this month. That's not too bad, I knew that it was coming. But then they wrote that my rent was going to be raised $35 if I sign a new lease. If I don't it's going to go up $135. What makes it worse is that I also pay for water, trash, ( Read more... )

It's usually the same no matter where you go. It's their way of getting for-sure tenants and money. I wouldn't mind signing a 3-month lease but most places around here don't do that. So 6 months it is. What part of the city do you live in?

as a matter of fact the place is about 100 sq ft. bigger than where I am now and the rent is $45 cheaper. I can't move in until January though so I might stay with Gerry for a couple months until then.
