Reunion?

On Tuesday on my way home from taking my sister to Jamba Juice (which included gas money and free Jamba Juice for me) I got a call from Nick. I haven't talked to Nick much since we graduated high school, but we still occasionally keep in touch, after all, he had been my best friend since 8th grade. Well, he told me he saw Ricardo and Xavier in On Broadway over the weekend. I haven't seen those two since grad night in 1999. So he got their numbers and Ricardo gave him Robert's number. Robert was also one of my closest friends in high school. So all of a sudden Nick found a way to get in contact with a bunch of old friends from high school and he told me that he is going to try to get everyone together at his house sometime next week. It would be great to see all my old trouble-making crew again after more than 6 years! I wonder if things will be like old times or if it will be somewhat awkward at first. Either way I know it's going to be cool to see all my old buds again.

So over the weekend during the BBQ I was sitting outside talking to Michelle and Laurie came up in the conversation. I don't talk to her much anymore and I have gotten used to it, but there are days when I still miss her terribly, especially on weekends or her days off when she used to call me to say hi. She throws me off sometimes by telling me that she can't wait until I move to Vegas and then she is going to visit as much as she can. I'm glad she hasn't mentioned it anymore though. It's best to just not talk about that because I don't want to have any false expectations. I just want to make the best out of my move and start over without the drama that I have had with her for the last year and a half. But still, I can't help but miss her on certain days or at certain times. Thank God I have good friends and family here to keep me sane through those times. They don't even know they're doing it, but it means a lot. We'll see how I hold up when I move to Vegas.
