gah, if i had to describe my current mood, i'd have to recur to a stamp i've seen somewhere in DA: "sick and tired of being sick and tired". my aches are giving up, fortunately, but they're still there x( THEY NEED TO DIE, I HAVE THINGS TO DO KTHX. for the record, i'm utterly sick of reports and papers. i don't mind attending to classes, not even ( Read more... )

ooo a decent-looking human :o

well, one thing i was advised on dynamic poses and stuff was that you gotta learn the basics first :V i know you dont like drawing realism xP but... i found that drawing things from life, especially when it comes to anatomy, helps a LOT. and then you try gradually more interesting poses from there. thats the theory im trying to follow, anyway xP and definitely, drawing is a hard thing to do. stop doing it and its amazing how fast you fall, even if you stop drawing for a short of a period time as a week. making something eye catching is a huge challenge ._.;; ive been trying to study that by looking at some favorite works of mine of all genres and its a hugely complicated thing to study. i am not sure how to describe it xD ((not like i know much about it yet)) but its a mix of everything: color, light/shadow, composition, etc... and that makes it especially tricky. i like to do B&W things every now and then simply so i can try making things catchy without having to think about color ((cause color can hurt my brain at times xD)).

it might sound cheesy, but have you looked up pictures of Pokemon or Yu-Gi-oh cards? a lot of game card art was meant to look particularly eye catching and "cool" ((and jeez, some of the newer pokemon cards are seriously works of art :V)). maybe that might give you some ideas.

i am actually excited to hear youre getting a camera xD Argentina sounds like an interesting place and getting more of a visual on things would be cool, especially your town (:

i do practise realism and specially with humans, believe it or not xD. it's just that i always practise with paper and pencils, and i'm lacking a scanner :o in addition to that, most of them are nudes, and some people feels uneasy at them... i personally don't, but that's the reason i usually don't put them online. but, when i have time and can start again, i'm sure considering posting some of them :)

andod course! they indeed have some wonderful illustrations :) not cheesy at all, i noticed the same lol.

and, thank you!:D been taking a few photos and i'll most likely post them later, by the weekend or so. need to take some better photos as well xD

WANNA BE FREE AND BE ABLE TO DRAW FOR REAL AGAIN X_X
