Because SPN is now on Wednesday, there aren't that many ratings to report. So on Thursday I'll post just SPN's numbers, then on Saturday morning I will post the full week of CW shows so everyone can see how SPN did compared to everything else.

From TVbytheNumbers

I'm also now including the 18-49 demo rating in parentheses. This demo is the most ( Read more... )

Agree with everything you said. Also gave you a shoutout in my post on the ep ;) ::HUGS:: Cas really did steal the show last night. I forgot about the pastry malfunction line, hehe!

Cas was awesome in this episode. He ran the whole gamut of emotions from funny to sad and did them all so well. And damn, Misha was just looking particularly fine, too! I’m so glad that he’s back on a semi-regular basis again. I’ve missed him!

Agreed! If only Sam’s flashbacks hadn’t interrupted it over and over again it would have been perfect.

And the four times dreaming or dream-sequences etc were mentioned in this episode I think Sam might be imagining if not everything with Amelia, but a large part of it...

Just yesterday was the first I heard of that theory about Sam’s flashbacks and it’s intriguing, but I don’t know how I feel about it. That would mean that Sam had some kind of psychotic break while Dean was gone. And if that were true, how is he even functioning now? And if it is all a dream world I think I might be even more pissed that Sam is treating Dean like a dick for taking him away from a “normal world” that doesn’t even exist! But I have a feeling it is all in Sam’s head. It’s the only way Jeremy Carver can excuse Sam’s behavior and why we’ll all have to forgive him. Because as it stands, there’s no way I’m forgiving Sam for how he’s treating Dean.

Actually I have to say this episode made me interested in Sam's storyline. I couldn't care less until now, but with the dream aspect and the possibility this is all in Sam's head I'm really giddy to know what will happen next :)

I don't think everything is in Sam's head, though. That wouldn't really make sense. He would have to dream Dean's flashbacks and that just doesn't sit right with me.

But I can totally deal with a psychotic break down and Sam spending the last year in a mental institution :) Maybe he still thinks he's imagining everything and treats Dean like shit because he thinks it's not real...

hm... so many possibilities... I love it! Makes my head hurt, though *lol* But Jeremy Carver did a good job!

I fear the month-long break after the next episode...

Yeah, I agree with the commenter above--there seems to be a lot more evidence in this episode that Sam's flashbacks aren't real. It looks like Sam has created his own false memories, just like Dean did with his memories of Castiel in Purgatory. There are now many more weird similarities between Sam and Amelia: Like Sam, Amelia also has a militant and judgmental father. Like Sam, Amelia has been running away from her normal life because she can't deal with her loss. Like Sam, her significant other just came back from the dead. And the filming in this episode's flashbacks was more soft-focus than ever.

My favorite part--Dean calls Castiel to come with them and Castiel warns the cat that they aren't finished talking yet. The cat looked annoyed and mutters, "Dumb ass."

I really loved this episode, although I was a little worried that they could overdo things with Cas. I'm glad that I was wrong :D

Sam's flashbacks are kinda hard to watch. I'm with the people saying that Sam is just imagining everything that has this weird glow filter and it his way to deal with loss. Actually I'd be disappointed if it turns out to be real.

I loved all the Cas stuff! It’s so great to have him back on a semi-regular basis again. :-)
