Owning a piece of Sentinel history

I had a fantastic day yesterday.

Why?

Because over on eBay I won an auction for two of Garett Maggart's original Sentinel tapes, with the episodes Red Dust and Smart Alec.

Woot!

I've been trying to win one of these auctions for ages and I finally did it. They're not the most exciting episodes, but the fact that the tapes are Garett's own is what matters to me. Though it kinda saddens me to know that he's getting rid of them, you know? I only hope he transfered them over to DVD first, because I know I'd want to keep recordings of my first starring role.

Garett said he'll personalize/autograph the tapes for the winner, so that's just another bonus. :-)

In other news, I had a spectacularly boring weekend. *g* But that's okay! I wanted it that way! This was the first weekend in about a month and a half that I didn't have work to do to get ready for Media West.

So I was a total slug and avoided the computer (except for that auction *g*) and instead spent some quality time reading. My good friends Sandy and stormheller gave me a book at Media West called Smoke and Shadows by Tanya Huff. I quickly found out that the characters in there, Henry and Tony, are characters from Tanya's other line of books, that turned into the Blood Ties tv series on Lifetime. I'd never watched Blood Ties and now I'm wishing that I had! And it's been canceled, right? [sigh] I think one of my favorite writers from Supernatural, Raelle Tucker, worked on Blood Ties. Hmmm...is it available on DVD, I wonder?

Besides the reading, I spent time with the hubby getting flowers to plant in the pots around our patio. We got a wide variety and everything looks really nice out there now.

Other than that, I watched a bunch more Enterprise episodes (about halfway through season three now) and took a couple of long naps with the window open to let in the beautiful scent of lilacs right outside. Ahhh...relaxing. :-)

Hope all of you had a good weekend, too!
