I now that I've been more than slightly hermit-ish for the last few years, but when did I become shy?

I went to a work drinkies today for about 20 mins, and then ran off home.

It's not like any of them turned up to the BBQ armed....

Unfortunately, I have found that social skills (or the inclination to use them) tend to ebb without practice. :P

So, ummm, you just need to talk to more people, then you'll be better at talking with people?

I'm not sure if being the feminine equivalent of Mr Darcy is a good thing or a bad thing... if only I had a large, stately manor with which to attract Elizabeth Bennett. Or her masculine equivalent- I'm still not picky.
