Whuf. There’s a whole bunch of stuff I want to write now, but I’m too tired. My father had bypass surgery today, and I was up at 4:30 AM to accompany my parents to the hospital. the moment when I felt like Kerry first really put Bush on the defensive was when Bush said something about having to invade Iraq because we had been attacked, Kerry pointed out that Saddam Hussein didn't attack us, and Bush snapped "I know he didn't attack us!" He sounded like he realized he'd made a mistake.

I hope your father comes out of this OK.

Bush never responded to Kerry's charge that W. mishandled the Osama bin Laden manhunt. I agree with Matthew Yglesias that Kerry should keep pounding away at that, even more than North Korea, because nobody has come up with a decent justification for that debacle.
