I recently had a Compulsive Hair Disorder. I expect that it is because mizkit has been so good with her hair of late and CHD must come out in the universe somewhere.
Something that Kit posted reminded me of something I meant to muse about here. Part of my drive to school involves a stretch of road where there's an American flag hanging from every other telephone pole. This is a view becoming more and more frequent, I've noticed, with a lot of towns or organizations in towns putting up flags like that. Now, I imagine that the typical flag locations (schools, state buildings, police, etc) would be frequent places to find national flags in other countries as well (though I suppose I could be wrong), but do other countries do those displays like along the roadside above?
In my humanities class, we're spending a lot of time talking about the mythologies of our culture. The core ones being: Anyone can grow up to be President and Each person is responsible for his/her own success. I wonder if Patriotism falls into the category of our national mythology as well.
