He's been following Locke for awhile now, not exactly sure where they're going (he usually isn't).

"Isn't the hatch in the other direction, John?"

Locke glances back at Boone, one eyebrow raised. "Yes," he says. "It is. But I've found something else."

He raises an eyebrow at him. "You have? What is it?"

"I've found my sign," he says evasively.

"Sign? John, what are you talking about?" He follows along, paying more attention to the area now. They've never been this far out this way.

John searches in all directions for the signs he received in his dream, a rather boyish grin on his face. "Patience, Boone. Patience." He pauses for a moment, partially because a sharp pain shoots through his leg. That, and he recognizes where they are.

He sees John wince at the pain in his leg. He moves quickly to his side. "You okay, man?"

"I'm fine," he says, and closes his eyes for a moment as he tries to recall his dream.
A yellow plane falls from the sky.
He opens them, holding on to a tree as he turns a corner in the forest.
His legs don't work. He cannot move. Boone stares up to the sky, his face blooded, his eyes dazed.

"Theresa falls up the stairs. Theresa falls down the stairs."

He's staring in the direction of the airplane.
The island is littered with hills, continually sloping upwards to the peak of the island, which lies in the center.
His mother stands on the ground, pointing up. To the plane. This is where he must go. Surely this is the sign he was searching for.
Locke is not surprised to know there are secrets, treasures hidden within these hills.
If only he could reach it, if only he could escape the confines of the wheelchair he has found himself sitting in suddenly...
"Up there." He points to the top of the hill that faces them.

Boone turns and looks up. His eyes widen a little and his mouth is slightly agape.

He turns back to Locke. "How did you know this was here?"

"A dream I had last night told me how to find it." He glances at Boone curiously.

"A dream?" He doesn't sound very convinced.

A pause.

"Who's Theresa?"

A little bit of color drains from his face, and the plane leaves his mind completely. "What?"

" 'Theresa falls up the stairs. Theresa falls down the stars.' " he repeats.

He turns even paler. He speaks, but it's more to himself then Locke. "Must've mentioned her when we were out one day."

"Maybe. But you didn't. I'm specifically referring to the dream."
