"Space is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence!" is probably the best moment of the new
trailer for the J.J. Abrams Star Trek reboot. There are other positive elements, though mostly those are character related-- the cast largely comes off feeling like they fit in their respective roles, particularly Quinto and Urban. I'm a little off-put by the mystical predestination between Kirk and the ship, which I consider fairly lazy writing, and I don't really get why you'd build something that wasn't meant to land on land.
I'm about half-and-half. I'm kind of just happy to see a trailer for a Trek film that actually captures even a portion of my interest at this point. If nothing else, Urban has my ticket sold. Look at that face. It's like the 8th wonder of the world.
