In what I'm told is a historic event, Playboy has selected an African-born woman as its Playmate of the Year for the first time ever. The fluff article where I got this information did not mention whether Ida Ljungqvist is the publication's first black playmate of the year (and I'm too lazy to look that info up), so I'm going to assume that she's not because (A) I'm sure the article would be crowing "black" rather than "African-born" if that was the case and (B) the idea that a skinrag would claim that as some sort of milestone for race relations in 2009 would be pretty pathetic. Really, Hef, it took you that Goddamn long to pick notice someone who wasn't a peroxide blonde? Also "African-born" seems to be a pretty meaningless title in this case, seeing as how Ljungqvist isn't looks about as African as I do, but, you know, that's the one drop rule for you. Maybe there's just never been an African-born playmate of the year before because there have never been any contenders, what with all those Arican women being preoccupied with being machete raped by roving janjaweed death squads.
