3 months ago my husband signed up for gas services with Infinite energy.
At first when we moved into our house it was warm out. We didnt need gas, so we waited until it started to get cold to set up service (we were trying to save some money) so October rolls around, it starts to get cold and we call to set up services.
They tell us that we have to have a credit check, pay a deposit and all that. Which we do. We find out that we have 100$ credit from our previous service with them, so we send in 52$ to cover the rst of the deposit.
We find out that we have had gas the entire time, so they tell us oh ok well we will just set you up, get it so the bills will come in your name and youre good to go.
well its been 3 months.
I have not received a bill and i figured that we probably owed money.
So i send them 50$. I call them asking them "hey why havent I received a bill?" They proceed to tell me that the account was not properly set up (after going through it twice with them and them telling us it WAS set up properly). Im like what do you mean?
So i go through all this stuff with the lady on the phone, i tell her how Im very concerened about the bills not being sent here, and how its not in out name. She says Oh well its in someone elses name. I then ask her this doesnt mean my gas is going to get shut off is it? because i have a daughter who is 5 and its really cold. she reassured me that it WOULD NOT be turned off.
So yesterday my husband calls to get it set up AGAIN for the 3rd time, in his name.
Guess what? My gas gets turned off.
Yep. After i was told it wouldnt.
they basically proceed to tell me that its our fault and that they wont have it turned on until the 14th!!!
thats the earliest. (im sorry but do you know how COLD it is here?)
So they have taken 50$ of my money, lied to me, failed to do their job, and now we are suffering for it.
Im at my wits end.
Im sick as fuck, Im freezing, my daughter is freezing and we have NO Heat excpet space heaters.
And all they say to me is that there is nothing we can do. They know its their fault... and they do nothing to help us.

I have called and talked to just about everyone i can in their shitty company, i have called the Better Buisness Bureau, I have called clark howard, I have called the Governors Consumer affairs office, and nothing, and I mean nothing has been done.

Im so fuirous that a company can get away with treating people like this.
Especially honest, paying customers.

I dont know what to do...
Im about to try to sue them. This is unethical and outrageous.
