I'm thinking about writing fiction for money. I used to think I knew what was what, and part of what I knew is no one makes a living at writing fiction.
But I'm already not making a living. Maybe the hours I put in at video captioning for six dollars an hour (approximately; it's piece-work, so if I weren't such a bad typist I could do a little better at it)--maybe I could write fiction for six dollars an hour.
That reasoning doesn't explain the grip the idea has on me. I like to think of pseudonomyously uploading my little books, where they'll disappear but also exist somehow.
