Maria is not sure what everyone else is getting upset about either. Maria thinks it's very easy for us to share the symbols. Maria does not think that they are not your symbols, but Maria knows that they can be magic symbols too. When Maria used them, Maria was not using them for magic, so it really, really is okay.

Maria knows some other people who are like that. Maria won't worry about it. Maybe it's good that they can be so energetic and really, really believe things. Maria can be like that sometimes, too.

yes we do!
there were more symbols too but the rest of our race is dead so its just those twelve for the twelve of us

But, Maria also thinks it's very weird that we both have the same symbols, even though Maria only knows about the kinds of trolls who live under bridges and are mean to goats.

You're not witches, are you? Witches are very powerful and can make things like that too. But Maria does not think you're witches. Maria thinks you're different, even if you might be very powerful too.

That's maybe another thing we can share a little bit.

most people think trolls are supposed to be ugly and live under bridges but were different from that too
humans and trolls dont have a lot in common sometimes
but then you turn it around and were just the same!
which is pretty funny

well some of us are pretty powerful
but we created the world because we played a game

You played a game? That's a funny way to create a world. But maybe it isn't. Because you can use rhymes and poems and songs for magic spells. And the Endless Witch Beatrice likes uses riddles and games for magic.

But Maria knows magic is different from creating a world.

How did you create that world by playing a game?

it was a computer game
first it destroyed our home planet with meteors
and then we had to play through it and beat the final boss
it was pretty tough but i was a thousand robots at the time which helped
and then
at the final moment
we were denied the ultimate reward
and barred from entering the universe we created
but as for the specifics it had to do with frogs

Maria thinks that's sad too. Everything was destroyed and you couldn't even win, even when you'd really won.

i wanted to grieve for a long time
but once i could
i realized there was nothing to be sad about!
everything happened that needed to happen
we were never meant to enter that universe
