Fun and fairly mellow weekend!
Friday was fun! It was Michelle's bachelorette party.
We went to Chaser's to see Devil Doll, but ended up having to leave to meet up with people at Tranz.
The rockabilly scene is weird here. In NJ everyone is way friendly but noone at the show even talked to us.
Fuck em! Tranz was pretty dead compared to other nights..might have been due to the fucked up construction out front, or maybe people of being gouged at the bar. Last round I bought at the bar was 2 lemon drops fro me qnd Michelle..The bitch charged me 18.00.
My entired bill for the night was 40.00.
So almost half of my bill was one round..thats pretty fucked up.
It was still a pretty fun night though..Lots of dancing, and laughing. Im way happy for Joi and Michelle!
Saturday I ended up just staying home watching bad movies with the kitties.
I thought I was going to shoot at fetish ball, but it just didnt end up happening.
Greg was off at Joi's Bachelor party, so I watched bad movies, including a terrible/great blaxploitation film with strippers, and lots of bad ass cat fights,,rawr!
Sunday we just cat napped all day and watched movies..It was so nice!
Today at work I hid behind my ipod, and just did some basic stuff. I came home, and worked on the club Hell flyer for my burlesque birthday bash, and then went over to Sage's place. We had been talking about involving me in the Screaming Shiva music project. When I had checked it out last week I didnt really feel where Id fit in musically, and tonight we tried some stuff out, and decided it really wasnt a good fit, but we will probally work in the future together on some of my stuff.
The one thing off about living in Arizona has been my lack of Dan-ness.
For as long as I had played bass/sang Dan and I were always off and on playing music together. I miss having that one person I love jamming and witing with. It was just an added perk that he is one of my oldest friends.
Found out that on my birthday weekend 2 of my bestest friends are flying in to celebrate with me. Blackie from NJ, and Nina from Cali.
I feel super loved..Blackie is going to perform at the Burlesque party too which maks me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
I havent seen her since I moved here..
