My Geek Points Are Increased By One.
Friday night, Fargo and I drove up to Burbank so that he could be on the David Lawrence radio show, "On-Line Tonight." Fargo's been on his show quite a few times, but this is only the second time we've trucked it all the way up there so that Fargo can do the show in person. David and Lili are wonderful, giving people who always open up their home to us and make us feel like treasured friends. It's always very nice to see them and spend time with them. Last night was especially exciting and fun, because the other guest was Wil Wheaton! Now, from a Star Trek fan standpoint, meeting him is pretty fricking rad. From a nerd standpoint, again, fricking rad. But, from the girl who saw him in Stand By Me as a kid and thought he was the cutest thing EVAR, it's straight to gigglesville. After the show, we did a 10 minute podcast, and I actually got on the air to talk to Wil for a little bit. Listen to the podcast now and mock me later.
All in all, the night was a blast, as Wil was exceptionally cool and very much just a regular guy. I really enjoyed talking to him during the breaks, and the the three of us had so much to talk about. He even signed a dollar bill for me (listen to the podcast as to why he signed a dollar bill) that will get framed and put in the autograph room. And afterwards, we went out to dinner with David and Lili and had an awesome time. The Steeler's victory today just topped it off as a pretty legendary weekend.
