Cheap gas is a blast from the past :-(
Why am I awake? lol, last nights wedding was okay... nothing too eventful. They got the wrong wedding cake and made a fuss about that, but I would be mad too if I paid that much for something UGLY. My boss said she needs more captains, and I was stupid and told her that I would be interested before I thought this over. Captain= more responsibility... I like being just a waitress because I can basically do whatever I want. If I was the captain I would be in charge of all the people doing whatever they want and trying to make them do what they are supposed to do... most of the time the captains do nothing though, they point at which table to put the salad down on :-p There is only one girl captain, the bosses best friend and the rest are all male, so I dunno if they would even let me do a "boy" job.... I only want to do it if I get a raise, I deserve a raise definitely but will I get one is the question??? Plus my cousin will be wicked pissed if I get to be a captain and she doesnt because she has been there longer. Unfortunately I am a good waitress so I will probably get stuck being one forever. I have to keep reminding myself that this is not my life and I dont need to be moving up and establishing a place for myself in the catering industry. The number one reason I wanted to be a waitress was to meet Tiger Woods, well that was certainly a perk but I really wanted to be a waitress because it is a job that everybody should have at least once so they learn how to treat people properly. In the movies the waitresses always end up having something cool happen, I am still waiting, lol. I always wanted some movie producer to come in and say "will you be in my movie/tv show/magazine?" or have some drunk guy give me his lotto ticket then I win the jackpot ;-) j/k I forget what movie that was....
I WANT THE GAS PRICES TO GO DOWN!!! I was infuriated last night when I drove past exxon with the cheapest as $2.15 and the high test was $2.31! What are we, in Europe or something? I swear my German friends are laughing their butts off b/c they made fun of me for saying our gas was expensive last year when it was a whole dollar cheaper, and these are the prices the europeans pay... but we are not in EUROPE! We are in America. Exxon was a full .15 cents more expensive than everybody else, so I hope the others dont raise to match. I wish somebody would take out OPEC and establish a new petroleum corporation. I wish bush would give some money to the funding for new non-oil energy sources. We should just take over Iraq and their oil wells, stupid people. I want to DO SOMETHING! High gas prices will cause the food prices to go up because everything is shipped everywhere, and then that will cause people to have even less money. We are spiralling downward in a depression, and supposedly we are supposed to be coming out of it soon but not with this going on. I am like a drop in the ocean though, in a sea of noncaring new yorkers that dont care because money is of no object to them. I wish people cared, I wish we could have a massive protest and make a big fuss... After seeing the film JFK I have lost all hope in our federal government. The whole thing is one big conspiracy with friends taking care of their buddies instead of doing what is in the best interests of the people. Kerrry and Bush are both like that, I do not even think I am going to vote this election because the American people are screwed!!!!!! Our gas will be $13 a gallon, milk will be $25 a gallon, the whole world will think we are morons, and the children will have standardized tests every day of the week...:-p
Oh yeah on Wednesday my honey bunny and I went to the United Nations and took our own private tour ;-) It was pretty cool to be in "International Space" and see where all the diplomats hang out. It is right near the water and has an amazing view! I kept thinking of how I always wanted to be a diplomat and I know that other countries do not treat our delegates as well as the ones here get treated. We saw this huge boat made of gold and gems from Thailand, and a giant Ivory sculpture that was so amazingly intricate, a whole city carved down to every last minute detail! They had an exhibit on war, and that was depressing. They had a chart that really pissed me off, the US spends $581 BILLION on WAR, and only $10 billion on hunger, malnourishment, and starvation! only 5 billion on literacy, something ridiculously low on the environment and homelessness.... we need to change our priorities. Well the government needs to change its priorities, but like in JFK, war is what fuels the nations. The conspiracy theory holds that they were mad b/c he pulled out of the nuclear war with Castro, Bay of Pigs was a failure, and then he wanted to end the Vietnam war. They were spending billions back then on helicopters and war equip for Vietnam, because the helicopter guy was friends with the higher ups in the government, and if Kennedy pulled out then they would go bankrupt. Then they shot Robert Kennedy because he would have ended Vietnam as well. Lyndon Johnson signed the papers to continue it THE DAY AFTER HE GOT SHOT! That was an awesome movie, I highly recommend it. I am fascinated now and would like to do further research. Well enough of my rambling, I am going to go do something now...in the meantime if you know of anyone who can take over Iraq's oil wells and put them in my name then give me a ring ;-)
