[Hanna would like to think that he's taken everything Mayfield has thrown at him with a grain of salt, he took everything in his usual Hanna fashion; which was to smile and pretend everything was okay. Wake up in a strange town? Cool- that sounded paranormal and awesome, he can deal with it. Learn your wife belonged in a Terminator movie? Creepy! But it's all good, he can deal with that- she was better than his landlady, ha ha ha. And losing his eyebrows and sideburns for his glasses? He actually found it funny. Hell, even finding out the large, nasty scar was gone didn't get him down- yes it was a reminder of a mess he had yet to clean up, a reminder of two people who loved him very much, of two people who left him behind for forever. It hurt but he was living with it.
It was all very hard, but he took it.
But everyone had their limit, everyone had their limit. For Hanna it was a double whammy, and he couldn't just sit back anymore. He didn't have his magic, he didn't have his trusted marker or his hammer; he pretty much had nothing right now, just heart- a heart that happened to be breaking right about now.
First it was Kid, waking up from the couch of their strange little house only to find out one of the sane people he was starting to like and care for had been droned. He didn't really know it at first, since he's never seen someone droned before, but after hanging around he noted things. He didn't like it, not one bit. So to clear his head he got out of the library early enough and was going to swing by Worth's place.
...
Then it was Worth. It was one thing to mess up with his assumed family, it was another thing entirely to mess with the real deal. To Hanna? Worth was the closest thing he had to a real family, the man had been there for him for years, sure he was grungy and rude and a jack ass... but he was Hanna's grungy, rude jack ass. He wouldn't be alive if it weren't for Worth, and seeing him all clean and proper, acting like the perfect husband and neighbor? It made something in Hanna snap. He knew... deep down he knew there was virtually nothing he could do to fix it, to get Worth back, to get Kid back- but fuck it he had to do something, he had to say something.
He was at home now, phone in his lap and the receiver gripped tightly in a shaking hand. He was quiet for a good long moment before his voice came out in a low and even tone.]
Mayfield...
I don't know who's pulling the strings, the grand puppet master in this fucked up show, but I will find you and you're going to turn him back. I'll make you.
[Gritted out through clenched teeth, the grip he had on the phone was now painful.]
And to my 'wife' and 'son', I know what you did to Kid the last time he was droned... You're not doing it again, I won't let you.
[It was a threatening tone, something he rarely used if never... but it did exist, he didn't get angry often, but when he got angry he got angry.]
[ooc: Sorry for being MIA folks, real life has been really demanding and kldsjfksd. But Hanna's back to stay, for cereal.
AND BE WARNED; Hanna is LIVID.]
