Don’t try to hide from us, Lu. We know you’re still out there, even if you didn’t do an ounce of press for HSM 3. We saw you in the Sara Lee commercial! You can run but you can’t hide! Oh sure, you were, “filming Milk,” but this all seems like an artful dodge to us.

But seriously, we see Lu following the same arc as Mo but with considerably less arm strength. He will pursue quieter but meatier roles; Milk was already a good move.    So while Zac has the commercial appeal, Lucas actually has the chops. If he keeps making choices like Milk and putting himself in the paths of legitimate actors and directors, we think he has a shot at the Ryan Gosling path to stardom.  From Disney/Canadian teen star to dramatic indie actor with an Oscar nomination under his extremely moody and serious belt!   Now casting for his Rachel McAdams-style star-crossed lover!

We also note that IMDB has listed his involvement in a flick called The Legend of the Dancing Ninja.

Huh.

That doesn’t sound like a period piece or a biography of a rising political star gunned down too early or a character piece shot on a shoe string budget.  It also appears to co-star The Hoff. This could be a brilliant career move showcasing his comedic timing or it could be a painfully bad idea. Historically, ninja movies that cast white guys as ninjas don’t fare all that well (see: Farley, Chris- Beverly Hills Ninja)…. And Holy Boltbus!  This is actually a sequel to Beverly Hills Ninja!

Alright, Lu, you win. We’re at a loss now.
