[ There is no way to prove he is real unless he... Pikachu puts his device down and aims it so that it is looking at a piece of furniture. One finished, his cheeks spark, and then he shocks the furniture for a few seconds. The furniture is burnt afterward. ]

Okay, there's one thing Alex can think of that might prove whether Pikachu's just a clever bit of computer animation. He puts his hand up in front of the communicator, waving it left and right, wondering in a mushed-brain kind of way whether Pikachu will respond.]
