[ Whoever is holding the camera is turning it around, as the feed records everything in the plain room. Then something different, something fuzzy and yellow, with black eyes and big red cheeks. Pikachu is staring at the little device, turning it around and over, and even sniffs and shakes it. ]

[ Sounds like a human, so it must be a human. Pikachu is basically asking for Ash. ]

[Omg what are you even saying, Pikachu. Kurt has no idea how to even respond to Pikachu aside from "YOU ARE A CARTOON CHARACTER WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE." But that seems kind of rude, even for him.]

Pikachu figures Kurt has absolutely no idea what the heck he's saying, so he nods. ]

[If you mean beastly, then yes. Those seizures weren't induced by that Porygon episode; it was all Ash's atrocious wardrobe.

Okay that's probably a yes. Kurt will try his best with the like, two or three pieces of information he has.]

[ Whateva whateva, Pikachu will make it. He has epic mimic skills, so he mimics Ash. ]

Oh! That's, um. [He snaps his fingers a couple of times, as though that will make the name come to him.] Your trainer! Right? Are you looking for him?

[ Pikachu is so happy right now, he nods three times in a row. ]

[YES, FINALLY. Kurt can't help smiling back. Why so cute, Pikachu? ...That smile disappears when he remembers he doesn't have a good answer for him.]

I haven't seen him around. ...I'm sure he'll be easy to find if he is though. It's hard to miss anyone in that hat.

[ Pikachu never put a hat on, meaning... Kurt knows what Ash looks like. This is better than he expected! But the news still makes Pikachu a sad Pokemans. Then he perks up, puts a hand on his chest and tells him his name. ]

[Kurt's still kind of staring, as though he can't believe he's actually, you know. Talking to a pokemon. He's having a conversation with a pokemon. What. But...he points at himself and tells him his name too.]

Kurt. I'm Kurt.

[ Pikachu does this thing where he forms names with the three syllables in his name. Ash/Satoshi is Pikapi, and now Kurt is Chu. ]
