That feeling when...

You have a sixteen-pound bird that should take four hours to cook, you check it three hours in for basting, and the pop-up thing is out, telling you it's done an hour early, and you haven't even started the vegetables yet.

So, basically, I just turned the oven off, left the bird in, and whipped out the veggies. So that was fun.

Fortunately, it all turned out okay, but it did produce a moment of panic.

I am thankful for my family, my friends, my health, my home, and my Savior--to be brief.

And, on a less serious note-- oh, God, am I ever thankful that I stuck an end at the bottom of that story yesterday. And that I have had the intestinal fortitude to not look at the thing today.
