People need to stop being stupid on the internet. The first one is lulzworthy, but the second one is rage-inducing, and I need to stop reading it lest I do something else truly horrible to Ben to compensate for the fact that there's no way to actually smack someone through the internetOkay, seriously, rape victims are getting their ENTITLEMENT all ( Read more... )

Yeah, I popped on over there to read the mess. People are idiots. Gah, I think I warn too much sometimes. I even warn for pairings because I know that some people hate certain ones. But fics like this need big, fat warnings in CAPSLOCK. It's just the right thing to do.

Maybe. I'm sorry for her problems, but I'm not responsible for her mental issues. I write what I want to write. If she doesn't like it, she's free to stop reading.

Yes, but stick a warning on triggery stuff, please. Or at least say that you don't warn. Even a book jacket gives you some idea of content. By the time she gets to the triggering content, it's too late, the damage is done.

Shit, now I'm wondering if I should stick a dubcon warning on my seduction snippet...

Well, I have to amend that - I suppose a warning would be simple courtesy. I seldom write anything that even the most entitlement-bound professional victim would call 'triggering,'but if I did, I'd probably say so.

Simple courtesy, YES.

Also, advertising. I mean, there are people out there who love that kind of thing (see: Cookie Analogy, above) and will want to read it if you just tell them it's there.

I like your icon. Odd - I've never before encountered that play on words before, in all my days.

I stole it blatantly from the TV show "Castle" and immediately appropriated it for myself. Considering what I've been writing lately, it seemed apropos. ;)
