Clearly, I'm going to have to start going out earlier in the day, because I lose the light way too soon now that Standard Time has descended upon us like a horrible dark cloud of no-sun. However, I did get some fantastic shots today; the Harriers and Red-Tails were out in force, and a few of them were kind enough to pose for me.
American Coots. I took this one because it amused me. I believe they're sitting on a beaver lodge, but I could be wrong about that.
Some kind of Cormorant. Probably a Double-Crested, but I'm holding out hope that it's a Neotropical.
Northern Harriers.
A lovely little Pied-Billed Grebe.
Various Red-Tailed Hawks.
And a grainy pic of a Yellow-Headed Blackbird. There was a little flock of males, ten or so, working the shoreline.
