One can never tell if I'm not updating because I don't feel like it, or because I am simply not here to update. I hope that answers it. RETURN bitches.
My computer crashed on wednesday with 2 corrupted drives or a bad mobo... which is almost like bad mofo but so very very different. I considered living without it for a while, because after all, I was going to be gone in a month. But then I thought about it, and thought about all those before me who said, be true to yourself, and then I knew. I simply could not afford to miss all the porn and anime. OH THIS IS EXACTLY LIKE ME TELLING YOU ON THE PHONE HAH!
Speaking of anime, I'll talk about anime later
But I'm not done with the internet yet!
I switched to a windows 2000 pc, with slightly less MEGAHERTZ and slightly more RAM. And a much better OS. I can think of so many horrible punchlines that could be used by a technologically empowered supervillian. The whole process took forever because ... well because computer hate me and I don't want to go into details. Computers hate me. End.
ANIME ANIME ANIME.
I went to an anime convention over the weekend. Yeah, FUCK YEAH. I was there as a corporate liason, which I really don't know what means, but I was mostly a grunt. A grunt who got free shit! Sakura-con (the convention) is the 3rd largest in the country, and had about 8000 people there. In downtown. With fucking cosplayers
WANDERING AROUND DOWNTOWN.
At one point the construction workers came in from working on the sheraton and got lunch in the convention center. I had to resist going up to them and saying "Dude I love your costume"
I don't like getting punched.
Anyways, it was a very cool place to be. The people there were pretty friendly, only had the one or two guys who creeped me out. Both other staff members actually. All in all, It was far better than I had expected. My freind who had been there a few times already told me I would be tripping out. But really, cosplaying isn't that wierd. Neither was the rave. Infact, the wierdest thing? Probably the people who dressed as zoro, or something else very un-japanese. I didn't go to nearly enough events though.
Did go to the concert, with Kamino, who were pretty cool dudes. Their concert was "sick" much "sicker" than their cds. Especially when the singer started doubling over and screaming. He just knew how to do it right. Really.
Did eat 60 dollars worth of free food.
Yes, yes AWESOME.
So I'll be there next year if I can.
The only bad taste was the dance, simply because I didn't feel right being there. In fact, I felt like a skeezy perv. Yeah, want to learn how to be a womanizer, go to a dance with my friends. They refused to dance without women, I think, because they didn't know anything but grinding, or whatever. But then we cruised around the outskirts, looking for attractive girls without boyfriends who looked a little bored. I suppose this is pretty regular and all. BLeh.
Best and worst part was when one of them asked a group of 4 girls (we were 4 men strong that night) if they wanted to dance and they responded "sorry, you're cute and all, but we're actually lesbians"
Which I think scarred him, hopefully not for life.
But THEN at the Kamino signing, which we were helping out at, 2 of them came in and waited forEVER to get their pictures taken with the band. Did I mention they were standing right next to the guy they told they were lesbians to the night before? Fuckin' awesome.
I'm sick right now, so its off to bed/anime/studying/reading. I don't think I'm going to bed soon actually... G'night!
