Heh. I was highly amused today, just in general (maybe because I was in such a pissy mood yesterday???)

Things that made me LOL:
♥ We have friends whose son is getting married tomorrow. She was up at the church today when I went to meet Will for lunch, and she showed us the program for the wedding. Apparently, the bride was freaking out about the program, so her son said he'd take care of it. And he did. :) There's the typical list of bridesmaids and groomsmen and ushers and the house party and her parents and his parents and the Order of Service. It said, and I quote, "It's a wedding--we're going to walk down the aisle, there will be some talking, we'll say our vows, we'll kiss, and we'll go back up the aisle." Is that not the most awesome thing you've ever heard?

♥ We went to some friends' house for dinner. They won the local newscast's Backyard Bar-b-que, where they cater with some really excellent bbq and the weather dude does the weather forecasts for the 5:00 and 6:00 news. We laughed our butts off. Part of it was watching our kids act like fools for the camera. Part of it was watching our husbands act like fools for the camera (I don't know how many of y'all know this, but Will lost his right index finger to the second knuckle (so, he's only got the bottom third of his finger left) when he was about 18 months old. Anyway. He finds it funny to act like he's picking his nose/sticking his finger in his ear or eye, etc. So he's back there behind WeatherDude, while they're doing the forecast. Luckily, they didn't get him on camera, the dork.

Also, Weather Dude told us about last week's Backyard BBQ, and one of the things he said is that there were "more tattoos than teeth" and that there was someone there wearing one of the house-arrest monitoring ankle bracelet. He said he tried to stay away from him. :)

The weather dude is a really nice guy, btw. He stayed after the camera crew left and played guitar and sang with us for about an hour and was just...fun. We asked him if he really needed to be out there--the forecast for the next week ranges between 101 and 103. Blech. He took it all in good humor, though.

♥ The kids all decided to dogpile Will and K (the friend whose house we were at), and they were hysterical.

- In other news, I took pictures of the plants in the greenhouse today, so there will be plant geekery tomorrow. I apologize in advance.

- Also, katieay gave me some interview questions. I'll answer those tomorrow, too. Again, I apologize in advance. :)

- I'm trying to decide where to get my tickets for HBP for Wednesday. Do we go to the newest theater (which is pretty nice--stadium seating, big seats, the armrests go up, etc) and pay $24 for the four of us to go (Ty and Mags will be at home with a babysitter). Or do we go with the older theater, which still has stadium seating but is a little shabbier, and spend $22??

Decisions, decisions.
