EEEeeeee!

My gift fic at takingitinturns posted and I'm flailing with squeeful glee at the awesomness.

Title: Split Second
Author: gbtso
Rating: light R
Word Count: 5077
Summary: Harry and Ginny's future stretches out in front of them: are they adult enough to handle the twists and turns of life?

Jules' comments: OMG, y'all. I have no idea how she did it, but Jen wrote the absolute perfect story for me. It's very definitely an H/G story (a beautiful, amazing H/G story), but there are amazing Neville moments with him and Harry and Ginny that shows their friendship and how they're there for each other. The journey in this story, as Harry and Ginny grow into adulthood, is just... gorgeous. It's poignant and funny and emotional and I'm running out of adjectives.

Also, I'm sure many of you are already reading this, but cibjasfad is writing a romantic thriller that has me on the edge of my seat and anxiously awaiting updates.

Title: Away From the Sun (this takes you to the story index)
Author: cibjasfad aka HGFan1111
Genre: Drama, Angst/Tragedy, Mystery, Romance
Warnings: character death, language, violence, sexual suggestions
Rating: R
Length: 24 chapters + an interlude (or 2?-I can't remember) so far
Ships: Ginny/Harry, Ginny/OC, canon ships
Setting: Alternate Universe, Post-DH
Summary: What do you do when your life is torn from you? You fight back, that’s what you do. Ginny Weasley was always strong. But is she strong enough to survive when the world spins out of control around her?

Jules' comments: This story sucked me in, right from the start. I fell behind in the reading because of RL, and I got caught up on Easter Weekend--I read, literally, 14 chapters that weekend to get caught up to where she was in the posting, staying up until 2am on Saturday, even though I knew full well I had to get up at 5am on Sunday. You can see she classifies it as drama and mystery, and it is those, in spades. There's intrigue and conspiracy and twists and turns that keep you guessing. There's some intimacy between the characters (and I don't just mean sexually) that slays me--I almost feel like a voyuer watching two people have very personal conversations when I'm reading parts of this.

And, by kezzabear, a new story called Finding Us. She doesn't have a summary for it, and she's only three chapters in so I can't really summarize it, either, exactly, but it's got a Ginny who's lost her magic (how? We don't know yet) and left to live in the Muggle world, leaving everyone, including Harry, behind. She's got a great parallel structure going--we see things from Ginny's POV, and then in the second part of the chapter, we see the same things from Harry's POV. And she's got a Neville that has at least three Neville fangirls squeeing, too--even though all we've really seen of him is three or four sentences.

And, if you're still looking for H/G goodness after all that, go check out the rest of the stories and art at takingitinturns. Tons and tons of good stuff there.
