The more things change the more they stay the same...
So its my birthday today, 24th to be precise. I have officially joined the ranks of the Mid 20s crowd. I dont really feel that much different or old, but it does give me an excuse to get drunk and pick up some nasty hoodrat for a bit of birthday nookie. In keeping with that plan I've booked out the backroom of a restaurant called Earl's next Wednesday, so me and some friends can eat and drink ourselves to stupidity, should be a pretty good night.
In other news, last week was pretty epic. We got hit by a few huge storms that came through and I got to ski a fuckload of fresh powder snow, great success! Was good to shred the Whistler that I know, not the horrible, no snow, global warming affected mountain that seems to have replaced Whistler this year. But while the week was epic it ended on a sour note as I managed to break another kid in my weekend local kids class. And shes the daughter of one of the big supervisors in the Ski School...oops. It wasn't anything too bad, she just bailed on one of the little cliffs we were hitting and tweaked her knee, but I still feel bad that she wont be able to ski for a week or so.
At the moment the sun is shining and its not too cold out, so Im gonna head on up the hill and go for a birthday shred with a coupla friends. Will sink some beers this afternoon and make the most of my first day of being a mid 20s ski bum in Whistler.
Should be pretty good!
