This last week was...quite likely the most ridiculous example of omnipotent magic I've ever encountered. Changing our memories, changing the setting, and changing how we perceive the world without us being entirely aware of the fact these changes had occurred are amazing examples of incredible power; yet, it was used...for something so ridiculous.

This is the Netherworld.

Netherworld, huh. What goes on in a place like this? Is this some sort of underworld?

I see lots of ugly creatures and a few confused people like myself. This better not be an Eggman plot, but I heard the name Baal

You could consider it an underworld of sorts. There seems to be a human world and a heaven world, so this would be the third world.

And, uh, yes, there are quite a few strange creatures here, some of which are dangerous. He's sort of strange-looking himself.

So I'm dead? Funny, don't remember dying or feel dead at all.

I fight strange robots all the time back at home I can take care of myself. Guess I gotta fight some tough ones if I want any chance of fighting the head honcho of this place.

No, not dead. Though it seems most worlds consider a 'Netherworld' to be a location for the afterlife, it seems like this world is simply a home to demons and various monsters. I've read there is a separate world called the 'Underworld' which is more like Hell and most people's ideas of a Netherworld.

I must warn you against attempting to fight Overlord Baal.

Anything we can manage. I keep myself entertained with my studies and I have enough of my own money saved up that I don't need a job. However, there ARE jobs you can get to make money...

Jobs... never had one (too busy saving the world, I always collected stuff and traded that in for necessities)

...this place have a bank? Maybe I should consider.

There is a bank. It often has things we owned back home in it, so perhaps you'll find something of yours there.
