Farewell Kasa. We miss you so much. We still look at your corner every day, even if just for a moment.
Kasa's condition had been steadily deteriorating, even before Isamu's passing, and in mid-March we decided euthanasia was the best course of action.
We felt guilty coming to grips with that decision; who were we to make that call?
Kasa wasn't suffering from any particular disease... but her enthusiasm was gone. No one to chase, nothing to do... there would be days our kitty-kat wouldn't even recognize us as her friends for the past fourteen years. Her senses of sight, smell, hearing, and taste were practically nonexistent.
Who were we? We loved her, and always will.
