OWWW MY TUMMY!!

Did Govindas start putting tranquilizers in their food or something? What just happened? I remember eating with Tasha. I remember getting on the bus. I know that somehow I came home and made it to my bed where I woke up half an hour ago (three hours later?) in a state that looked a little like this:

Please note the rolled up damp towel I had been clinging onto for dear life, the fact that I was still wearing all of my outdoor clothes except for my boots, and more importantly, THE ORANGE LINES OF CRAZY ABDOMINAL PAIN! I laid still for ten minutes thinking "OW OW OW OW OWOWOWOWOW! TUMMY STOP HURTING PLEASE!". I even started to bargain with it. "If you stop hurting I promise I won't drink any more Diet Coke. Ever... for the next week." "Stop hurting and I will feed you more fruit and less pasta, I promise!" "If you stop hurting I'll get up and drink three big glasses of water to help you along."

The negotiations were all in vain. Like the rest of me, my digestive system does not much care for logic or rationality.

I got up decided to turn where I turn for all my medical emergencies- the internet! From "contact stuck in eye" to "water in my ear", google has always been there for me and has calmly guided me through many mild medical emergencies. Much to my surprise, when I turned on my monitor, an already open google search for "STABBING PAIN IN THE ABDOMEN" was looking back at me. Apparently at some point I thought google would save me, and apparently I was wrong. Wouldn't it be pathetic if I had died just then? I would be remembered forever as the girl who died because she used her last breaths to coax google to display the search results faster, rather than calling 911. Oh, that would not be a happy way to be remembered!

My abdominal area still feels very unpleasantly stabby and I'm rather warm, but I think for now I'm going to just suck it up and try to ignore it. I took some medicine and drank two big glasses of water so hopefully that will help, and if not, it looks like I'll have yet another fun-filled visit to the Ottawa U walk-in clinic tomorrow.

Yikes. I knew those puppydog tummy noises from earlier today were bad news!
