The unthinkable has happened! Tonight I instinctively pulled out a ball of yarn and my favourite pair of bamboo needles only to realize that I have run out of things to knit. I've never tried, and don't have a pattern, but it shouldn't be too hard to find one / make one up, and I'd like to try!

Scarves are an excellent starting point for knitting. After you make a couple (your first few will likely have their share of holes and mistakes), hats are actually a pretty easy second kind of project!

Ok, I am going to buy yarn aujourd'hui! Would you like acrylic or wool (soft merino, not scratchy icky stuff), or do you have another fiber preference?

either/or is fine by me! i'm a fan of both fabrics really.. actually probably acrilyc because i've been known to mistakingly shrink wool in the wash &i'd die if i did that with the fabulous hat!
