Rant from Hell
We have one good pizza place in town. Which has now pissed me off so badly with their new check policy, they have lost my business... Fuck you Glass Nickel.
To use a check to pay for delivered food (that's delivered - to your HOME - where you LIVE) they demand:
1) Two phone numbers on the check
2) Your driver's license number over the phone and on the check
3) The check number being used
4) Address, etc. number over 1000 blah blah blah
5) A charge of .25 cents to pay by check (isn't this illegal?)
Then they verify you are at the phone and address they know you are calling from (because of their freaky FBI caller-id database) and PHONE IN FOR APPROVAL ON YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT WHILE YOU WAIT and then demand you write the approval number on the check (rapidly running out of room there, BTW...)
No. Not doing it anymore - say goodbye to a frequent customer of 13 years. Aren't you glad you spent all that money on your freakish FBI database system? One look at my 13 year record of loyal, frequent patronage and you might have saved my business.
Too bad - the last delivery guy I had from there looked just like Cedric Diggory...
