I am impressed - take pictures, it doesn't happen often

Wow, I have *always* deeply loved Replacements Ltd. To the level of actually admitting it (I am not big on endorsing companies.) But after receiving this (completely unexpected) email from them, I am truly devoted:

A message from our Founder and CEO

Letter from Replacements Ltd )

teacups, world_events

Wow! We don't have them here in the UK, but if we did - I'd be in the queue to buy one hell of a lot of teacups. And I don't even drink tea. It does my heart good to know that for every ignorant dick in this world, there's somebody like this. Thank you!

I am surprised at how touched I am at this email. It is so eloquent, personal, and (sadly) BRAVE. I don't pretend to be a staunchly ethical buyer - My economic level and the culture of this country make it impossible to live that way. But *this* is something I can rally behind.

Note (meant in no way to pressure anyone :::wink:::): they do have an online shop at replacements.com

I get a notice monthly from them for stuff in a pattern I used to collect. I've thought about unsubscribing from it, but now I think I'll keep it. I never got a letter like this, but I'm really happy to know all this--I knew they were a really good company, but not about the other stuff.

He took a real risk with sending this out - He could have said nothing to the world at large and just kept his message within his own company and attempted to keep his business neutral. Although their Facebook has been flooded with support, at any moment those who are opposed could start boycotting and attacking them and their business could face a huge hit. The whole Campbell's soup debacle is still hotly burning and a smaller business like this would have a much harder time surviving the same kind of attack.

Not to mention, he does risk actual bodily harm. It sounds like he has established a safe community for his family/employees, but if someone took issue...

That is very brave, and I am in utter awe of the man.
