What hope is there?
I despair at just how many times a day I have to point relatives/friends to Snopes in response to some infuriating viral post, but lately I have really started to worry. The number of debunks cluttering up the Snopes feed that are due to "originated from a fake news/satire site" is really, really depressing. Not to mention the noticeable amount of fake news/viral wank that has been slipping onto "legitimate" news sites the past few years.
