I reread the novelization of Heroes again last night (prepping that extra copy for eBay) and was surprised that I'd forgotten how enchanted I was with the author's *repeated* use of the word "fey" in describing/referencing Tommy:
A beat-up Cortina eased into the yard. The driver looked as battered as the car, scruffy, denimed, with a lean nasty look to his jaws, a fey light in his pale eyes.
"It's a lot of space." The feyness in Tommy prickled at Bodie. "Run or walk, it'll make no difference."
His face was fixed, now, distant, a rictus of purpose transfixing those lean stubbled jaws, the fey light in his eyes baleful and charged with unholy joy.
Gorgeous.
So, so enchanting. :)))
